LIL BO JEEP - 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL

Like Father, Like Son.

Since as long as he can remember Bo has grown up around diesel trucks and jeeps. We built this JL with one goal in mind: to be the perfect mix of daily driver & off road monster. Whether Bo is driving to class or chasing his dad down the trail this rig has Bo's back.

Lil Bo Jeep rolls around on 17inch Method 702's wrapped in 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers. When paired with the 3.5in Rock Krawler Lift Kit and Fox Race series shocks the JL cruises comfortably down the freeway while still being ready to head out on an off road adventure with his Dad.

We wanted Bo to be prepared out on the trail, so we outfitted this rig with a Motobilt Stubby Crusher Bumper, Warn Zeon 10S Winch, and Factor 55 Ultrahook. Of course we added some Baja Design LP6's & Squadron Pros to light the way through Bo's next adventure.

GROUT - 2019 Toyota Tacoma

Things that go together like peanut butter and jelly:
Toyota and reliability.

Toyota and the word Offroad are synonymous. Ash has always been drawn to Toyota’s reliability, lack of sophistication, and utilitarian characteristics. With a great platform to start with, and knowing its time will not just be spent on the trail, we embarked on a simple, practical build.

In phase 1, we completed the heavy hitter items – Suspension, wheels, tires, and drivetrain. Choosing the suspension upgrade is always critical on the outcome and direction of the build. We landed on an upgraded coilover suspension system from Elka Suspension. Knowing the truck would see equal amounts of dirt and road, we chose a Nitto Ridge Grappler tire wrapped around a Method Race Wheels grip lock wheel, which we like to think is a having-your-cake-and-eating-it-too kind of package.

HOWITZER - 2016 Ram 2500

What is the first thing you do when you buy a new truck?
We cut ours in half.

Unfortunately, when it comes to single cab trucks you are stuck with a long box. Knowing we wanted to build the ultimate full size off-road truck, Howitzer went under the knife to be transformed into a single cab short box.

Not only does this truck ride like a dream on the road but it completely dominates on the trail. Beyond Howitzer’s impeccable off-road capabilities it has many comforts when it comes to overlanding. Our Tepui rooftop tent sits on an all-aluminum Nemesis Rack and we added LED lights around the entire vehicle. Whether you are bouncing around on rocks in Moab or setting up camp in the mountains, Howitzer is the truck for the job.

SPARTACUS - 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

A Hellcat in a Jeep Gladiator? Yes, Please!

When we got our hands on a new 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, we immediately sent it off to America's Most Wanted 4X4. Thanks to them, under the hood sits a Supercharged 6.2L Hellcat paired with an 8HP75 transmission. For suspension, we worked with JKS Manufacturing and installed a 3.5-in lift along with their upper and lower J-Flex control arms. This suspension paired with Fox 2.5-inch aluminum body shocks with DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjusters allows for an incredibly comfortable ride both on and off-road. This Gladiator build features JKS suspension that allowed us to clear a set of 40-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers which are paired seamlessly with a set of Battle Born Bootlegger Beadlock wheels. Knowing that the Gladiator will be spending a lot of time in the dirt we installed a Warn Zeon 10-S winch to get us out of any situation that horsepower can't.

SPUD - 2018 Mahindra Roxor

When we found out that there was a UTV platform with a turbo diesel and a manual transmission, we had to get our hands on it.

Aptly named for its stubby physique and beige color, this little guy has been nothing short of awesome to play around in. After taking Spud out for its first test run, we decided it needed a makeover using the best parts available. We upgraded to Nitro Gears 30-spline chromoly axle shafts, 5:38 Gears, ARB air lockers and compressor paired with 35 inch BFG tires. Then we added bumpers, sliders and high clearance front fenders from On The Rox Fabrication. In case things get really hairy, we installed a Warn winch. For comfort, we installed a windshield with wipers, a heater kit, heavy-duty doors, turn signals, and much more. When Spud isn’t cruising down the trail, it may be found hauling firewood or parts to our buddies.

ZR2 - 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2

Finally, a truck to give the Toyota Tacoma a run for its money.

We were extremely excited to get our hands on this platform and to verify its capabilities. What's even more exciting about this platform is that it comes with an optional 2.8L Duramax, which is exactly what we ordered. We went into this build plan knowing the ZR2 was going to find some long trips and needed a major overhaul in terms of comfort, storage and the overlanding treatment. After installing a set of 35-inch tires, we moved on to the bed rack and cargo solutions. There are a couple of reasons why we went with Leitner Designs, which sits a little taller than most other racks and has a plethora of accessories and mounts available. We mounted items like their lockable storage pods and a set of MaxTrax, finishing it off with 23Zero Roof Top Tent. In the truck bed we mounted a Dometic fridge freezer with slider mount and a Pro Eagle 2 Ton Off-Road Jack. Other trail equipment can be found within the storage compartments of this build, too!

PUNK'N - 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon

A Jeep JL on 40s with only 2.5 inches of lift.

Right out of the gate we were blown away with how well the JL handled over its predecessor the JK. After Cooper gave Punk’n a good stock shakedown it was time to get to work. One thing that is impressive about the JL is we were able to fit 40-inch tires with just a 2.5-inch lift kit from Teraflex. It’s no secret that we use and abuse our vehicles - which is why we threw as much strength at the axles as we could. We eliminated the FAD (front axle disconnect) with a set of RCV axle shafts and added Dana Spicer 5.38 gears. Protecting the underside of Punk'n is Artec Industries bellypan. We always like to go prepared which is why this JL is equipped with a Warn winch.

STRETCH - 2011 Jeep Wrangler JK

This is not your typical JK.

We stretched the frame 10 inches, dropped in a R2.8 Cummins, and paired that up with an EcoDiesel 8hp70 transmission. Aside from the reliability and low-end torque one of the coolest things about this combination is the fact that we’re seeing 21 miles per gallon on 40-inch tires. Like all our builds we knew this Jeep was going to be wheeled hard. The last thing we want to worry about is breaking down on the trail which is why we went with a set of axles we know are reliable and strong. And because we now have the torque of the Diesel paired with 40-inch tires we decided to install a Dynatrac ProRock 60XD up front and a ProRock 80 in the rear. We added a Front Runner roof rack and other useful accessories. A Tepui roof top tent was added for comfortable sleeping. We ditched the cooler and installed a Dometic Fridge/Freezer and added some other items to make the camping aspect a little more enjoyable.

THE GENERAL - 2018 Polaris General 4 1000

A unique combination of go-fast UTV and utilitarian characteristics.

We accomplished our overall goal of building a UTV that can comfortably maneuver high speed trails and be the workhorse/recovery UTV in the stable without many modifications. We started by upgrading the OEM springs with a set of Zbroz dual rate springs. Those paired well with the Zbroz +2 Forward A-arm kit which provided additional clearance for larger tires and an exceptional ride quality. We mounted up a set of Method MR405 beadlock wheels for strength and durability to keep us moving down the trail. Living in the great Pacific Northwest, if the vehicle meets certain requirements we can drive our UTVs on select roads. An XTC Power Products plug and play turn signal kit with horn and a 6-inch LED license plate frame met those needs. You (probably) won’t see us on the freeway in the General but a quick run to the store is a lot more fun than it used to be.

X3 - 2018 Can Am Maverick X3

The amount of wheel travel and power these machines are putting out while stock is impressive, but it didn’t take long before our X3 went under the knife.

We sent the X3 to Fabwerx in Southern California who installed a new cage, trailing arms, upper and lower A-arms and front bumper. Once that was complete and we had the X3 back in our shop, we got to work. With race tuning the 3 cylinder engine is now capable of 300hp! Method wheels and Tensor 35-inch tires put the power to the ground and look as good as they perform. If you’ve ever been in 2nd to last place on a dusty trail, you understand that an S&B Helmet Particle Separator and Rugged Radios helmets with built in coms make shredding this X3 even more enjoyable. For safety and visibility, we outfitted the X3 with some Baja Designs lights which are all tied into the Switch-Pros 8-Switch Panel Power System. Just to show off, the starter has been wired through the panel so that the vehicle can be started by your phone. The rear facing light includes a brake light, blue safety marker, flashing and solid amber lights, and a white light. The different colors of light allow the vehicle to be seen in extreme dusty situations and lets other drivers know if you’re slowing down so they don’t rear end you.As always, we threw in a Warn winch paired with some Factor 55 and Bubba Rope parts for recovery purposes.
